JERSEY CITY POETRY FESTIVAL Crowd Release Notice for Film & Photo

 

By entering an event or program of the Jersey City Poetry Festival |JCPOFEST, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur.

 

Your entry and presence on the event premises constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the Jersey City Poetry Festival |JCPOFEST and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.

 

By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media.

You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent. If you do not agree to the foregoing, please do not enter the event premises

 

JERSEY CITY POETRY FESTIVAL Guest Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Jersey City Poetry Festival — a celebration of voices, cultures, and creativity. To maintain a welcoming and respectful environment for all, we ask guests to follow this Code of Conduct.

 

RESPECT THE MIC

  • Remain quiet during performances.

  • Silence your phone and avoid distractions.

  • Wait until a poet has finished before applauding or responding.
     

CELEBRATE DIVERSITY

  • This is a multicultural space.
    Be open to different cultures, languages, and perspectives.

  • No discrimination, hate speech, or stereotyping.
     

ENGAGE WITH KINDNESS & RESPECT

  • Treat all attendees, poets, and staff with courtesy.

  • Treat all art and artifacts with the utmost care and respect.

  • Listen with intention and speak with respect.

  • Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
     

HONOR CREATIVE WORK

  • No recording or photography without the artist’s consent.

  • Do not copy, share, or repost poems without permission and credit.

 

INDOOR POETS PANEL POLICY: MASKS REQUIRED

  • For the safety of our community, masks are mandatory for all attendees during the poets panel, which will take place indoors. Thank you for helping us look out for our community!
     

NO SMOKING OR VAPING INDOORS

  • Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is strictly prohibited on the festival grounds - indoors and outdoors. 

  • Please step outside the festival grounds to smoke or vape.
     

REPORT CONCERNS PROMPTLY

  • If you witness unsafe or inappropriate behavior, notify festival staff or security immediately.

  • All reports are taken seriously and handled with care.
     

 

Violations of this Code may result in removal from the event.
